Deb Bentlage, a resident of Cornville, is the Phippen Art Museum
Curator in Prescott, Arizona. After many years spent working for a major
consumer products company in Manhattan, she decided to move to
Arizona for a quieter life and dedicate more time to her first loves
of art and photography. Earning a B.F.A. in photography from a
Midwestern university, her photos have been featured in group
photography shows at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the
Springfield Art Museum, the University of Missouri-Columbia Gallery,
Missouri Southern College and several private venues. Her
photography also has appeared in publications in Connecticut,
Arizona, Missouri and Texas. One of her photos is part of the
permanent collection at the University of Missouri and will be on
display during this exhibition. Deb looks for unusual things in life
to photograph that appear to be surreal through either lighting or
composition with minimal digital manipulation. Deb has also served
her community as a member of the Verde Valley Area Leadership
inaugural steering committee and currently serves as the Chair for
the statewide Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits (AAN) Leadership
Council. She also worked as Asst. Regional Mgr. for the Sedona and
Yavapai County Community Foundations (SCF/YCCF).
Lisa Hering fell in love with Sedona and Oak Creek at the age of six
on a family vacation. Since 1965, her life quest was to move to this
beautiful land of tumultuous topography and, at age 40, she became a
resident of Sedona, Arizona. Lisa is a color and composition artist, focusing
on combining color, texture and a certain balance. Her favorite
mediums are photography, yarn and beads. She currently exhibits
dozens of hand crocheted, knitted and woven coats and jackets,
numerous stone and crystal necklaces and bracelets and several
series of photographs at her store and studio in Old Town
Cottonwood.
Peter P. Paoli currently works as the Vice President of Brand
Management for Philip Morris USA in Richmond, Virginia. Although he
has spent 28 years working for consumer products companies, his
passion has always been photography with a focus on Architecture,
Seascapes and Baseball. Pete's work has been featured in several
trade advertisements, as well as the Wall Street Journal. One
exciting panoramic photo collage of Pete’s will be a seven-foot long
creation that features the Boston Red Socks receiving their World
Series rings.
Donna Gravenese has lived in Westchester, New York, for her entire
life, and has loved to travel for just as long. She always finds
that one particular picture from each place visited that truly
brings her back to that point in time and hangs it in her home. That
way, a casual glance while walking by brings her momentarily back to
each wonderful experience. This is Donna’s first group photography
exhibition in a gallery, although her photos can be found in
personal collections and in several local restaurants in
Westchester.
